Florida BTLS is now Florida ITLS. As of October 2005, Basic Trauma Life Support is known as International Trauma Life Support. The change in name reflects the focus of the organization for the years to come.

A not-for-profit corporation, Basic Trauma Life Support of Florida, Inc. is committed to providing EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, Physicians and other Emergency Care Providers with state of the art trauma care education.  BTLS of Florida is one of over 60 chapters of ITLS International, and is endorsed by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Florida College of Emergency Physicians.

Following the guidelines set down by BTLS International (now ITLS), ITLS (BTLS) of Florida has educated thousands of emergency care providers improving trauma care throughout the State of Florida.
